SI IS OUR FOUNDER AND RESIDENT TINKERER, HE’S BEEN FIXING THINGS ALMOST AS LONG AS HE’S BEEN BREAKING THEM
After spending 10 years working in the youth and community sector delivering sessions with wood, metal, glass and clay he decided he wanted to work on all the ideas that had come from from his experiences working with others. He found a workshop and brought in creative friends to share the running costs. He’s a qualified welder and bike mechanic and full time problem solver, he loves learning and is always trying his hand at new things but is happiest when sharing his skills and knowledge with others.
STEVIE IS OUR REPAIR AND RESTORATION SPECIALIST, STRAIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL HE SERVED HIS TIME AS A WELDER FABRICATOR BEFORE BECOMING AN IRON HOT DIESEL FITTER
During this time Stevie worked weekends at his dads antique centre learning skills like french polishing and veneering from a guy with 60 years experience. His passion for restoring fine furniture grew and he moved into the field full time. He’s happiest when he’s busy, spending his evenings restoring old cars and weekends building oak staircases. Whatever your project you’ll be hard pushed to stump Stevie for solutions and advice.
BRUCE IS A TIME SERVED CABINET-MAKER WHO IS EQUALLY AT HOME WITH A CHAINSAW AS HE IS WITH A CHISEL
He splits his time between making beautiful bespoke furniture, building adventure playgrounds and carving amazing sculptures with a chainsaw. With over 30 years of experience, he is the oracle with all things wood. He has also spent over 20 years working in the community, teaching woodwork to young people and is a regular feature of Gateshead’s family sculpture day.
